Melissa Morales, CPA
Melissa’s career in accounting and finance began in public accounting transitioning to privately held organizations and family offices that include start-ups, to those with assets under management valued at over $150 million. Her entrepreneurial spirit drives the goal to partner and serve as a resource to leaders by creating customized solutions that optimize business strategy through the application of accounting tools and financial analysis. She has a transparent, no nonsense approach, when communicating and is committed to supporting others in achieving their business goals.
Melissa is a graduate of the University of New Orleans, Louisiana, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting. In 1998 Melissa earned a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and has held licenses in Louisiana, Alaska, Arizona, and currently in Texas. Her commitment to helping others is also demonstrated in her service as a board member for Zoey’s Angels, Inc., a Houston based nonprofit that supports families who have lost an infant. Melissa is an avid fitness enthusiast and enjoys spending time with her husband and fur baby.
Desiree Zepeda
Desiree brings diverse experience and knowledge to the team. She has held roles with publicly traded companies with $1 billion in annual revenues, as well as privately held organizations with annual revenues up to $10 million. Most recently Desiree’s focus has been training in Cloud accounting best practices. This training and experience enable Desiree to guide clients in reducing IT costs and managing business continuity planning. Her desire to get things done right is a driving force in developing and implementing policies and procedures that take accounting teams and solutions to the next level.
Desiree is a graduate of the University of Houston, Victoria, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Desiree enjoys volunteering and is a long-standing member of the Fort Bend County Fair Queen youth scholarship program where she has held many roles on the board. Born and raised in Fort Bend County, she has a passion for giving back to her community through various charities and organizations. Being a resident foodie at heart, Desiree enjoys exploring new restaurants with her husband and kids.
